California Proxies Refund Policy

Short version: when a line we run is broken and we can't fix it, you get the unused time back as account credit. When a third party does something, or you change your mind, you don't. Here's the long version. Version dated October 10, 2026.

How refunds are paid

Refunds are issued as credit on your California Proxies account, and that credit can be spent on any plan, any carrier, any city we offer. Credit is prorated to the unused time on the affected line. We don't push money back to the original payment method except where the law requires it, partly because crypto payments can't be reversed and partly because credit puts you back on a working line in seconds instead of days.

Credit shows up on the balance line of your dashboard and is applied automatically at the next checkout, so there's nothing to redeem and no code to enter. If you'd rather spend it on a different carrier, a 5G line instead of 4G, or one of our other US cities, that works too; credit is simply money on the account.

When you get credit

A fault on the line we can't fix. If a modem, SIM or our software in the LA rack stops working, support can't bring it back, and a move to another free line doesn't suit you, the unused time is credited.

Confirmed downtime. If our monitoring confirms that your line was unreachable for longer than a few hours within a single day, or for a combined stretch across a week that adds up to hours rather than minutes, we credit the affected time. The bar is a few hours of confirmed outage, not a single dropped session or a carrier rotation hiccup, and the credit covers the hours lost, not the whole plan unless the whole plan was lost.

A shutdown that's on us. If we retire a line or a carrier for reasons on our side, the remaining time is credited in full.

When you don't

The following aren't refundable, and we'd rather say so up front than argue about it later:

If you're not sure whether your situation fits one of these, ask. Support can read the line's logs and tell you straight, and if it turns out the fault was on our side we'd much rather credit you than argue about it.

  • Bans, blocks, checkpoints or limits set by a third-party platform or website
  • Fair-use measures on a line whose traffic looked like bulk transfer rather than proxy work
  • Lines released after non-payment, once the 48-hour window has passed
  • Change of mind after a line has been activated, whatever the plan length
  • Hourly plans once the first hour has started
  • Slower speeds than you hoped for on a given afternoon, as long as the line is working
  • Addresses that repeat, change, or get placed by some geolocation database in a neighboring city
  • Time lost because your own tool, network or credentials were set up wrong

Plans that never started

A plan that was bought and never activated is rare, because activation is automatic at payment. If it happens anyway, message support with the order ID and we'll sort it case by case.

How to claim

Email [email protected] from the account email with the order ID, the line name or port, what went wrong, and roughly when. The Telegram bot at @CaliforniaProxiesBot works too. We check the monitoring logs for that line, which usually settles things in a few minutes. Claims should reach us within 14 days of the problem; older ones are hard to verify either way.

Most claims get an answer within one business day, Pacific time, and credit lands on the account the moment it's approved.

Chargebacks

If you open a chargeback or a PayPal dispute instead of writing to us, the account is closed and every line on it is released while the dispute runs. We answer disputes with the order and connection records. Talk to us first; a two-line message is faster for everyone.

Questions

Can I get the credit as cash instead?

Only when the law requires it. Credit works on any plan or carrier and never expires while the account is open.

My line rotated to an address a site thinks is in another city. Refund?

No. Geolocation databases are the site's guess; addresses come from the carrier's regional pool and that's what the plan buys.

I bought a week and only used two days.

That's a change of mind after activation, so there's no credit, but you can move the remaining time to a different city or carrier for free from the dashboard.
