Tools and partners that pair well with a Los Angeles line
A California Proxies line is a plain HTTP(S) and SOCKS5 endpoint with a username and password, which means almost anything that can talk to a proxy can use it. This page collects the tools our customers actually run with an LA mobile line, with the handful of settings that matter for each. Two of them are partners we recommend for browser profile work; the rest are the everyday apps and libraries you probably already have open. Your line's host, port and credentials are on the line's page in the dashboard, and the rotation link is right next to them.
Undetectable.io
Antidetect browserOur first recommendation for running separate browser profiles, each with its own fingerprint, cookies and proxy. Undetectable.io checks the proxy at profile creation and pulls the time zone and locale from the exit address, which is exactly the behavior you want when the exit is a Los Angeles carrier line. One profile per account, one line per profile, and the browser does the rest of the consistency work for you.
- In the dashboard, open your line and copy the HTTP host, port, username and password.
- In Undetectable.io, create a new profile and open its Proxy tab; choose HTTP and paste the four values.
- Click the check button; it should return a California location and the carrier name.
- Leave time zone, language and geolocation on their automatic settings so they follow the proxy.
- Save, launch the profile, and visit an IP lookup page to confirm before signing into anything.
- Save the line as a named proxy in the Undetectable.io proxy manager so you can attach it to new profiles in one click.
- If you rotate the line from the dashboard, restart the profile so the browser re-reads the new address and matching time zone.
GoLogin
Antidetect browserOur second recommendation, with the same profile-per-account model and a clean proxy screen. GoLogin's fingerprint generator leans toward common consumer hardware, which fits a mobile carrier address well, and its proxy checker shows the resolved city and carrier so you can confirm Los Angeles before the profile ever opens.
- Create a profile in GoLogin and switch to the Proxy section.
- Select Custom proxy, type HTTP, and enter the host, port, login and password from your line page.
- Press Check proxy and wait for the location and ISP to show as California and your carrier.
- Under Timezone and Language, keep the fill-from-IP options on.
- Run the profile and confirm the address on an IP lookup page.
- Use GoLogin's folders to keep each client's profiles together with the line they use, so a rotation on one line doesn't surprise someone on another.
- Pick a mobile or laptop fingerprint template rather than a desktop workstation; it sits more naturally with a carrier address.
Proxifier
System-wide proxy for Windows and MacProxifier pushes any application on the computer through the line, including apps that have no proxy settings of their own. It's the usual answer for desktop clients, Electron apps, games and tools that just open sockets. Rules let you send some apps through the LA line and leave the rest on your normal connection.
- Open Proxifier and add a proxy server with your line's SOCKS5 host and port, enabling authentication with your username and password.
- Use the Check button to make sure the connection succeeds and the exit reads California.
- Create a rule that matches the applications you want routed and points them at the new proxy.
- Set the default rule to Direct so everything else stays on your home connection.
- Launch the target app and verify the address it reports.
- Turn on DNS resolution through the proxy in Proxifier's name resolution settings so lookups happen from Los Angeles, not from your ISP.
- Make a second rule that sends your IP-check browser tab through the line as well, so you can confirm what the app sees.
Shadowrocket
iPhone and iPad appShadowrocket is the iOS client people use to route a whole iPhone through a proxy, which makes it the easiest way to test how an app behaves for a Los Angeles subscriber on a specific carrier. Add the line as a SOCKS5 or HTTP server, flip the switch, and every app on the phone goes out through LA.
- Install Shadowrocket from the App Store and tap the plus icon to add a server.
- Choose SOCKS5 (or HTTP), enter the host, port, user and password from your line page, and save.
- Select the server and turn the connection on; approve the VPN configuration prompt iOS shows.
- Open Safari and load an IP lookup page to confirm the carrier and California location.
- Use the app you're testing, then switch the connection off when you're done.
- Set the phone's time zone to Pacific while the line is active so app clocks match the address.
- Shadowrocket's per-app rules let you send only the app under test through the line and leave messaging apps on your own network.
FoxyProxy
Browser extension for Firefox and ChromeFoxyProxy adds a proxy switcher to the browser toolbar, with patterns that route only certain sites through the line. It's the right choice when you want your everyday browser to use the LA address for a few domains and nothing else, without a separate profile system.
- Install FoxyProxy from your browser's extension store and open its options page.
- Add a new proxy: type HTTP, hostname and port from your line, and enable authentication with your username and password.
- Give it a name like LA line and a color so you can see it in the toolbar.
- Either pick the proxy from the toolbar to route everything, or add URL patterns so only chosen sites go through it.
- Load an IP lookup page while the proxy is selected and confirm the carrier and state.
- In Firefox, turn on the setting to proxy DNS when using SOCKS5 so name lookups don't leak your real location.
- Set the pattern mode carefully; a site's asset domains and API domains need to match too, or half the page loads from home.
Android proxy settings
Built-in Wi-Fi proxy on AndroidAndroid can route browser traffic through an HTTP proxy with nothing installed, using the advanced settings of the Wi-Fi network you're on. It's enough for Chrome and most web views, which makes it a quick way to check a site as a California phone user. For every app on the device, a SOCKS-capable client app is the fuller option.
- Open Wi-Fi settings, long-press the connected network, and choose Modify or Manage network settings.
- Expand Advanced options and set Proxy to Manual.
- Enter the line's HTTP host and port; leave the bypass list empty or add your own local hosts.
- Save, open Chrome, and sign in with your username and password when the proxy prompt appears.
- Load an IP lookup page and confirm the carrier and Los Angeles location.
- The setting is per Wi-Fi network, so it won't follow you onto mobile data; reconnect to the same network to use it again.
- Some apps ignore the system proxy entirely; if an app shows your real address, that's the app, not the line.
Python requests and curl
Scripts and the command lineFor scripts, both requests and curl take the line as a single proxy URL with the credentials embedded. This is the fastest way to check a page as a Los Angeles visitor from a terminal, and the same URL works in almost every other HTTP library and tool that respects the standard proxy variables.
- Build the proxy URL as http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT using the values from your line page.
- For curl, run curl -x followed by that URL and the page you want; add -L to follow redirects.
- For requests, pass proxies with the same URL under both the http and https keys in each call or on a Session.
- Test against an IP lookup endpoint first and check the carrier and region in the response.
- Reuse one Session for a run so cookies and keep-alive behave like a single visitor.
- Export the URL as HTTPS_PROXY and HTTP_PROXY in your shell and most tools, including pip and git, will pick it up with no extra flags.
- Call the line's rotation link from the script when you want a fresh address, then wait a few seconds for the session to come back before the next request.
Puppeteer
Headless Chrome automationPuppeteer drives Chrome from Node, and a mobile line is a good fit for the screenshot, rendering and ad-verification work people build with it. The browser takes the proxy as a launch argument, and the page object handles authentication so you don't have to bake credentials into a URL.
- Launch the browser with the argument --proxy-server=HOST:PORT from your line page.
- Create a page and call page.authenticate with your username and password before the first navigation.
- Set the time zone with page.emulateTimezone to America/Los_Angeles and the locale to en-US via the Accept-Language header.
- Navigate to an IP lookup page once to confirm the carrier and state.
- Run your script; use a fresh browser context per task so cookies don't bleed between jobs.
- Use a real window size and a mobile or laptop user agent that matches the device class you're pretending to be; mismatched viewport and address is an easy tell.
- Puppeteer's built-in device descriptors can emulate a phone, which pairs naturally with a carrier address.
Scrapy
Python crawling frameworkScrapy is the framework for structured crawls, and a single dedicated line suits it when the job is a steady crawl of one or a few sites as a Los Angeles visitor rather than a wide fan-out. The HttpProxyMiddleware ships with Scrapy and reads the proxy from the request meta or the environment.
- Set the proxy on each request with meta['proxy'] = 'http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT', or export HTTPS_PROXY before running the spider.
- Confirm HttpProxyMiddleware is enabled in DOWNLOADER_MIDDLEWARES (it is by default).
- Set DOWNLOAD_DELAY to a second or two and CONCURRENT_REQUESTS to a small number so the crawl moves like a person reading pages.
- Add a first request to an IP lookup endpoint and log the carrier and region before the real crawl starts.
- Enable the HTTP cache during development so repeated runs don't re-fetch pages through the line.
- Keep the user agent consistent across a run; swapping it per request while the address stays the same looks odd to any site keeping session state.
- Call the line's rotation link from a middleware between batches when you want a new address, then pause briefly before continuing.
Before you start: the consistency rule
Whatever tool you use, the point of a Los Angeles carrier address is that everything else agrees with it. Set the browser or profile to Pacific time, US English, and a screen and font set that a SoCal phone or laptop would have. A California IP paired with a Central European time zone and a Russian keyboard layout is a contradiction, and contradictions are what platforms notice. The tools below each have a place to set these; the tips call it out where it's easy to miss.
One more habit worth building: test the line in the tool before you do anything that matters. Open an IP lookup page, confirm the carrier reads AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon and the state reads California, then get to work. It takes ten seconds and saves an afternoon.
Picking a proxy protocol
Use HTTP(S) for browsers, browser profiles and most scraping libraries; it's the simplest and every tool supports it. Use SOCKS5 when the app isn't a browser (a desktop client, a mobile app through a system proxy, anything that needs UDP), or when a tool specifically asks for it. Both go to the same line with the same credentials, so there's no wrong choice, only a more convenient one.
Integration questions
Which antidetect browser should I pick?
Undetectable.io first, GoLogin second. Both are set up in a minute with the line's HTTP details and both pull time zone and locale from the proxy. We don't recommend others.
Can several tools use the same line at once?
Yes. The line accepts multiple connections with the same credentials, so a browser profile and a script can share it. Remember they all show the same address, so keep the sessions logically together.
Do I need SOCKS5 or HTTP for a browser?
HTTP is simplest for browsers and profile tools. SOCKS5 is for apps without proxy settings, mobile clients and anything that needs UDP.
